 E-Visa

Foreign Nationals can opt to apply for some visas online without having to submit a hard copy of the form and requisite documents at a BLS center. Such visas are granted and approved online and the applicants can travel to India using the visa grant confirmation received by them.

E-visas are currently offered in the following categories:

  1. e-Tourist Visa
  2. e-Business Visa
  3. e-Conference Visa
  4. e-Medical Visa
  5. e-Medical Attendant Visa
  6. e-Ayush Visa
  7. e-Ayush Attendant Visa

 

Eligibility

This facility is not available if the person or either of their parents or grandparents (paternal or maternal) was born in or was permanent resident of Pakistan.

Passport used by the applicant should have at least six months validity from the date of arrival in India. The passport should have at least two blank pages for stamping by the Immigration Officer on arrival.

E-Visa facility is not available to holders of Diplomatic/Official passports, UNLP (UN Passport) holders and international travel document holders e.g. INTERPOL officials.

If the e-Visa has been granted on the old passport, the traveler must also carry the old passport on which the e-Visa has been granted.

E-Visa is not available to International Travel Document Holders(excluding Passport).

 

Procedure for applying e-Visa

The foreign national may fill in the application online on the website https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/tvoa.html

 

Advisory: 

The applicant may note that the Embassy does not process e-visas and any enquiries in this regard will need to be made directly on the e-visa portal. Service of e-Visa involves a completely online application for which no facilitation is required by any intermediary / agent etc. Applicants are, therefore, advised to be cautious and for any clarification, please contact indiatvoa@gov.in
